To day we are celebrating 14th of August. It is the auspicious day when our beloved homeland Pakistan amerged on the map of the World as a new Muslim State. Before that day, it was a part of British India. Pakistan moment had been started by All India Muslim League which had been formed in 1906 to safeguard the interests of Muslims of the Indian Sub Continent.

Even since the fall of Mughal Empire the Muslims had been oppressed by both the British and Hindus. They had been kept backward still they had joined hands with Hindus to end foreign rule. But the Hindus never accepted them as a Nation. They had joined All Indian Congress, but their cooperation was not respected. This humiliating treatment force them to form a party of their own – The Muslim League – The Muslim League tried to reach an understanding with the Congress – The Representative political party of Hindus in order to secure an honorable place for the Muslims of the Sub Continent but in vain. The Hindus rejected Quaid’s 14 points which demanded separate Muslim representation and other safeguards for the protection of the their religion, culture and language. Then in 1937 the Congress Ministers of Hindu majority provinces put into action many schemes to oppress Muslims and encourage Hindus to riot against them.

This naturally gave the Muslims of Sub Content a rude shock. They had repeatedly extended their hands of cooperation and friendship, but every time they were repulsed. Now they reacted and demanded a separate homeland. The Hindus bitterly opposed the partition of India. But the Muslims of India united under the inspiring guidance of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and worked passionately for the achievement of their ideal. In 1945 election, the Muslim League won all the Muslim seats. It was a clear verdict of the Muslims, they wanted Pakistan. The Hindus then realized that they could not check the emergence of Pakistan and they accepted it with bitterness. Thus on 14th of August 1947 Pakistan came into being.  Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad – Pakistan Paaindabad.
