Speech

Darvesh Karim,
I shall start my speech by saying that history repeats itself. This truly applies to this joyous event. This day has become an auspicious felicitous day for the citizens of Pakistan. It is the day when our most beloved century appeared brilliantly on the globe. It will not be out of place if we call it the citadel of Islam, because it was created in the name of Islam. The ideology, which motivated the Pakistan movement, was Islam.

When we mention the name of Pakistan, the unforgettable services of the father of the Nation flourishes in our thoughts as fresh as ever. The creation of Pakistan was not a common matter, there was a heavy price we had to pay, at the decline of Muslim rule in the sub-continent. The Muslims suffered very badly. They had no social status. The Hindus treated them harshly. The doors of employment were closed to Muslims. They began to lead a miserable life. Hindus began to interfere in the religious matters of Muslims. Their life became bitter and bitter day by day.

During this crucial stage the Muslims were in dire need of a fearless  stead fast, a selfless and an unflinching leader who could steer the boat of the Muslim Community. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan tried his best in this noble cause. After his death Qaid-e-Azam replaced him. He carried the boat of nation to its destination despite the rising calumniation of opposition.

In the struggle of the freedom movement, many Muslims lost their lives, sacrificed their properties so that the coming generation would not became Hindus slaves. It was the Hindus who left no stone unturned to devastate the Muslim culture. Knowing the aspiration of Muslim in one hand and the oppositions’ hostile attitude of Hindus Quaid Azam girded up his wrist and played a backbone role in the movement of Pakistan. He sacrificed his whole life.

During the Pakistan movement Hindus tried to make hurdles. They used British as Cat’s paw to get success in their impicable objectives. In this crucial junction Quaid united the Muslims carrying the torch of indiminishing leadership. He trampled down every wall of opposition. He successfully led the Muslims to the door of citadel where our culture and heritage are safe. If we had not achieved Pakistan we would not have any identity. The world would have considered us a passive community, having no global status as we have today. Pakistan felt vehemently the sudden death of Quaid-e-Azam. If he remained alive at least for a decade our national identification as Pakistanis would have been envious and exemplary for the whole word. But as Dr. Allama Iqbal said;

If we follow the motto of Quaid-e-Azam, we will enjoy the fruit of prosperity. We will become role models for the world. It is up to us to make the name of our county.

Pakistan is a blessing and a sacred trust of Allah. It is by the virtue of Pakistan we are breathing as an independent nation. This is the most blissful trust. We should avail this trust as best as we can. In this regard we should follow the golden principles of our national hero. Which are unity, faith and discipline. If we duly follow these principles, we shall progress by heaps and bound. Our generation will remember our service as we remember our forefathers.

I shall conclude my speech with this saying;

Great people are born when they die
Cruel people die when they born.
